Quality Assurance Specialist, Web, Digital & Operations


The

Reporting to the Web Development Manager, the QA Specialist will be the final gatekeeper for the output from our Web Development and digital marketing campaigns.

The successful applicant will perform thorough QA of all deliverables on a wide range of devices, operating systems, and browser combinations, documenting their findings and working with the Web Development team to ensure the best customer experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run manual and automated tests against our web and mobile sites, and iOS/Android apps
  • Independently write and perform regression tests using Cypress and Katalon Studio for our eCommerce website
  • Execute and define manual and automated testing strategies with other QA specialists
  • Ensure continuity of feature performance as new releases on the site roll out
  • Discover and document bugs on our ecommerce production website and iOS/Android apps in clear written form with reproducible steps
  • Ensure delivery of high quality and reliable end user experience
  • Provide support and guidance to business users and stakeholders during project UAT phases
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing automation processes or other tools to meet our testing needs
  • Document existing or new QA processes on a regular basis
  • Lead investigations, verify and document issues using our incident management system
  • Bring a collaborative and growth mindset in everything that you are involved in
  • Contribute meaningfully to discussions in team meetings such as daily standups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives
You bring the following

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Minimum of 35 years related professional experience
  • 2+ years of relevant QA technical experience
  • Working knowledge of QA processes, methodologies and best practices
  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, XML, JavaScript (ES6), JSON
  • Working knowledge of bug tracking systems/software
  • Experience with automated testing software/frameworks
  • Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git
  • Fluent in general operation of PC, Mac, iOS and Android operating systems
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of an Agile software development lifecycle
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with nontechnical team members

Preferred:

  • Experience with Katalon Studio, or Cypress
  • Working knowledge of Selenium scripting
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian suite of tools such as JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket
  • Working knowledge of API testing using Postman
  • Experience with supporting enterprise class eCommerce websites
