Compensation: $130K - $140K CAD base salary + bonus (negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to safety protocols and actively contribute to fostering a culture of safety.
  2. Analyze a variety of data sources, including past customer projects, industry-related projects, labor expenses, and other project-specific costs.
  3. Seek additional information or clarification on project bids as required.
  4. Revise cost estimates to reflect changes in project scope and new information.
  5. Gather and evaluate all project-related expenses, encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and tools, to guarantee precision in cost estimations.
  6. Calculate engineering project costs by thoroughly assessing technical project requirements.
  7. Assess and document potential cost uncertainties to ensure that cost models comprehensively cover the entire spectrum of possible expenses.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. 3 to 7 years of experience in multi-trade construction estimating for projects valued up to $5M.
  2. Familiarity with AutoCAD.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with Accubid Estimating Software or similar tools.
  4. Educational background: College Diploma, Bachelors Degree, trade certification, or equivalent practical experience.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  6. Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  7. Keen attention to detail, along with well-developed organizational and time management skills.
