We are currently recruiting for a PUMBING/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our Maintenance team. This is a unionized, full time position. Flexibility to work weekends and some holidays as may be required in accordance with seniority and business levels required.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in guest rooms, public areas, and backofhouse areas of the hotel.
  • Inspect plumbing systems and diagnose problems, such as leaks or clogs, and make necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Install and maintain water heaters, boilers, and other plumbingrelated equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning and prevent future problems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing calls in a timely manner and provide prompt, efficient service to guests and employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of all plumbing work completed, including parts used, labour hours, and job details.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a plumber, preferably in a hotel or commercial setting.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems and components, including pumps, valves, and water heaters.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members and guests.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Physical demands:
Must be able to lift-up to 50 lbs, Bending, Walking & Squat.
