**Salary**: $22.00-$27.94 per hour

**Position Summary**:
The Centre for Research in Aging is located in the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre, a 387 bed CHSLD in Montreal, Quebec. Our research aims to improve the care provided to long-term care residents and persons with dementia. We are seeking a compassionate, highly motivated, and organized individual to join our team. Responsibilities include performing in-person assessments with long-term care residents as part of an upcoming CIHR-funded research study, as well as other studies, either in progress or upcoming, at the Centre.

**Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements**:

- Travel to select long-term care facilities;
- Perform one-on-one in-person assessments with vulnerable long-term care residents;
- Enter key information into an online electronic data management platform, accessible via a data-enabled electronic tablet;
- Maintain confidentiality of the information retrieved and entered.

Other day-to-day duties will include:

- Contacting, recruiting, and scheduling meetings with study participants;
- Engaging in literature searches and reviews;
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining research projects;
- Collecting, entering, analyzing, and presenting data for existing and future projects.

- Ability to organize work load and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in order to deliver expected results and meet deadlines

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree in a related to psychosocial health sciences (e.g. social work, psychology, education).
- Two (2) years experience as a Research Assistant or other relevant work experience.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be bilingual (English/French)
- MSc degree is an asset.
- Experience interviewing individuals on sensitive topics is an asset
- Experience working with vulnerable populations (including long-term care residents or older adults) is an asset.

**Résumé du poste**:
Le Centre de recherche sur le vieillissement est situé au Centre gériatrique Maimonides Donald Berman, un CHSLD de 387 lits à Montréal, Québec. Nos recherches visent à améliorer les soins prodigués aux résidents des établissements de soins de longue durée et aux personnes atteintes de démence. Nous sommes à la recherche d'une personne compatissante, très motivée et organisée pour se joindre à notre équipe. Les responsabilités comprennent la réalisation d'évaluations en personne auprès de résidents de soins de longue durée dans le cadre d'une prochaine étude de recherche financée par les IRSC (CIHR), ainsi que d'autres études, en cours ou à venir, au Centre.

**Tâches, responsabilités et exigences**:

- Se rendre aux établissements de soins de longue durée sélectionnés ;
- Effectuer des évaluations individuelles en personne avec des résidents vulnérables d'établissements de soins de longue durée ;
- Saisir les informations clés dans une plateforme électronique de gestion des données en ligne, accessible via une tablette électronique;
- Maintenir la confidentialité des informations récupérées et saisies.

Les autres tâches quotidiennes comprennent:

- Contacter, recruter et planifier des réunions avec les participants à l'étude;
- Effectuer des recherches et des revues de littérature ;
- Élaborer, mettre en œuvre et maintenir des projets de recherche ;
- La collecte, la saisie, l'analyse et la présentation de données pour des projets existants et futurs.
