Job Description:

What you'll do

  • Contribute to an eventspecific conference communications plan (in collaboration with Audience Engagement Manager).
  • Work closely with internal teams to effectively communicate the conference program for maximum impact. Advise best practices, ensure TED branding guidelines are followed and manage deliverables.
  • Communicate timelines to relevant stakeholders and ensure all deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Degree (preferred) or diploma in communications, or similar experience.
  • Experience working with MailChimp (or a similar program) to send campaigns required.
  • Experience writing clear, compelling copy in a brandspecific tone and voice.
  • Impeccable attention to detail when both reviewing and sending campaigns; able to spot grammatical errors.
  • Customer support experience (inperson and online) is an asset.
  • Experience with list management and audience segmentation.
  • Experience with Airtable is an asset (or similar collaborative management system).
  • Techsavvy, fast learner of new tools.
  • Stakeholder management: Can effectively communicate deadlines and deliverables; comfortable providing and receiving feedback.
  • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, verbal and written.

  • Computer programs include MS Office, Mac programs, Google Docs, functional related databases.
