Department Overview

  • The Enterprise Data Governance Office (EDGO) is responsible for guiding the deployment of the Enterprise Data Strategy across TD and for driving value from data as an enterprise asset. To support this mandate, the EDGO provides unified approaches, tools, processes & standards for managing data and works collaboratively with business and technology partners to implement effective data management across the organization.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of EDGO data risk policies, standards, framework and exceptions
  • Aid in the development of supporting guidance materials for use by 1st line teams
  • Support all relevant projects and initiatives related to the maturation of the data risk team, as directed by Senior Manager
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners (i.e. Data Steward community, 1st line data management team), providing program awareness and apprised on changes that impact the work being completed by LOBs
  • Actively contribute to overall Policies and Standards strategic roadmap and project planning activities to meet and deliver overall EDGO strategic objectives
  • Support in facilitating planning sessions for governance councils and relative forums, and coordination of meetings related to processes/procedures and other key discussions
  • Support the execution of EDGO communication strategy to manage key messaging

Job Requirements

  • Strong communication and business writing skills to develop program communications & content
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings of any size including the documentation of decisions and action items
  • Ability to interact with Senior & Executive Management with strong TD organizational awareness
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, negotiate and make decisions
  • Excellent analytical skills to conduct relevant data analysis to develop data insights (ability to 'tell a story') highlight themes, trends, and risk areas across LOBs as it relates to EDGO
  • Ability to answer and research questions in reference to the work effort being led

Additional Information

  • University degree required
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to operate in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous, matrixed environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (utilizing macros and pivot tables)
