Eligibility List
This posting is ONLY open to all Occasional Teachers who DO NOT already have a part time contract.
The
French language freeze continues to be in effect. Therefore, if you accept any teaching percentage of French contract, you may only be
considered for other French contract positions.

Additional Requirements (experience, knowledge, education,) for the
Position:
E SL qualifications an asset
Other assets include:
Experience teaching ASD students or programs
Ability to establish a program to support the skills development of students with ASD (communication, academic, socialization, daily living, and self-regulation)
Knowledge of structured literacy practices
Knowledge of Behaviour Management Strategies
Experience in the creation of IEP (alternative goals) and Safety Plans
Ability to promote an inclusive classroom
Ability to work on a collaborative team
Additional Information about this position:
The Autism SPC team includes 1 teacher and 2 EAs. Students are placed into 4 classroom areas; not necessarily by grade but by areas of need or similar profiles.
