About Head & Hands and the Legal Team

Since 1970, Head & Hands has been helping youth harness their potential to create healthy, vibrant, and caring communities.

We envision a society in which all young people are full participants, inspired by the endless possibilities available to them.

The Legal Department supports people in Montreal, and youth in particular, by giving them the information and tools to make empowering decisions about their own situation.

Our team holds legal clinics twice a week at which clients may consult a lawyer for free about their questions regarding the law, at no charge.

We provide workshops on topics like tenancy rights, age of consent, bullying & cyberbullying, cannabis legalization and employment law. We will soon be offering legal information sessions on issues affecting Montreal's trans community, like name change requests.
