The Role

The After-Hours Support role is for an organized and responsible person who will provide evening and night support to our drivers and dispatch team. You will receive requests, transmit messages, track trucks and loads, and communicate with customers, drivers and the sales and operations teams.

You will be required to report to work on a 2-week shift rotation.

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday.

Week 2: Sunday, Thursday, Friday.

For Saturday and Sunday shifts, you are required to report to the Vittoria office, during the week you are to report to the Brantford office.

How You'll Do It

  • Receive and deliver requests and information.
  • Dispatch drivers for pick-up and delivery.
  • Provide drivers with information about loads, pick-up, delivery, Customs requirements, traffic, obstacles, and other requirements.
  • Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
  • Record information in the Transportation Management System, Mileage Tracker, and Electronic Driver Logs.
  • Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
  • Monitor the routes and load tracking according to scheduled delivery.
  • Verify with drivers their timing to meet schedule requirements.
  • Provide updates to customers, Logistics Account Managers and Fleet Managers.
  • Represent Scotlynn in a high degree of professionalism in communications, interactions, and systems processes.
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by the Fleet Manager.

  • Knowledge of PC Miler, Electronic Driver Logs, Mcleod Transportation Management Software
  • ACE/ACI and Customs experience
  • Knowledge of transportation/logistics industry
