The Integrated Community Access Program is seeking a psychometrist for our Complex General Psychiatry Clinic.

As a key member of our teams, you will provide clinical assessment and treatment, consultative and educational services to clients, families, community providers, referral sources and other community partners.

You will have demonstrated initiative and creative approaches to challenging situations and will be willing to work collaboratively as the programs continue to work towards specialized evidence-based services in a learning environment.

You will have formal training in DBT with experience in DBT service delivery working with individuals. You will also have experience in providing manualized psychotherapy (Cognitive Processing Therapy).

You will work actively with our referral sources and community partners and will provide individual and group counseling, case management, consultation and education services.


Please note this is a 1 year contract from date of hire.

  • Qualifications Required and Preferred
  • Masters in Psychology, preferably counseling psychology
  • Be registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CRPO Standards of Practice and commitment to maintaining reflective practice standards as described by the CRPO
  • Certification and practice in DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy)
  • Knowledge and experience working with "personality disordered" outpatient population is required
  • 35 years of recent psychiatric experience in a mental health facility or service is desired
  • Community mental health service provision experience is required
  • Training and/or experience in facilitating psychoeducational groups
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Mental Health Act and PHIPA is required
  • Experience with presentations is an asset.
  • Current CPR-HCP is required.
  • The ability to work with clients of diverse ethno racial and cultural backgrounds and proficiency in a second language is considered an asset
  • Must have the ability to perform the physical demands of the position
