Join our Purchasing Team at Litens as a Senior Production Buyer.

Responsibilities of the Senior Production Buyer:

  • Lead the quoting process for new production parts or engineering changes, ensuring all necessary information is included in component drawings
  • Generate RFQ's to suppliers through Procure Force
  • Analyze supplier cost breakdowns to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Negotiate piece price and tooling cost with suppliers, including future cost reduction commitments
  • Recommend suppliers based on Litens Global Purchasing Commodity Strategies and Total Cost of Ownership
  • Participate in APQP cross-functional meetings as required
  • Evaluate price adjustment requests from suppliers and conduct negotiations to minimize cost impact
  • Execute global negotiations for assigned commodities
  • Pursue savings opportunities, technical cost reductions, and VAVE initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement in purchasing processes and tools
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, engineering, or related field
  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Understanding of engineered component drawings in the automotive industry
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes such as forging, machining, die casting, injection molding, stampings, and springs
  • Analytical with proven problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter comfortable working in team and independent settings
  • Understanding of basic financial principles and internal control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 5 years purchasing experience in the automotive sector
  • Experience working with global suppliers and diverse teams
