Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation's Calgary office is looking for a Senior Production Accountant to join their team. This role reports to the Supervisor of Production Accounting in the Gas Services Business Unit within Pembina's Facilities Division.

The Gas Services Business Unit offers gas gathering, compression, processing, and related services for its customers, mainly under long-term contracts.

The Senior Production Accountant will collaborate with a cross-functional team and will be responsible for production and revenue accounting activities for select Pembina Gas Infrastructure and Pembina Gas Services gas plants.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Ensure accurate production and revenue accounting for assigned gas plants;
  • Perform gas and product allocations using Excel and TIPS production accounting software;
  • Interpret gas handling agreements for precise invoicing;
  • Manage liquid nominations;
  • Complete NGL and Gas pipeline splits;
  • Enter Volumetric and Royalty data into systems;
  • Collaborate with Operations and Measurement teams;
  • Coordinate with Operations and Commercial Services teams for customer activities;
  • Contribute to various projects;
  • Assist with audit queries;
  • Support safety culture and Life Saving Rules;
  • Encourage a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
  • CAPPA certification;
  • Background in accounting, finance, or business administration;
  • Over 10 years of gas plant allocations experience;
  • Strong technical knowledge of gas plant operations and regulations;
  • Understanding of gas handling agreements;
  • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and journal entries;
  • Analytical skills with ability to meet deadlines;
  • Experience with production accounting software and SAP is advantageous;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment;
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft suite.
