Swing Operator

NTE Energy Canada Ltd has an opening for a swing operator.

This position is camp based in Northern BC consisting of 15 days on shift followed by 13 days off shift.

The position requires a self-motivated individual to be a part of our day-to-day field and plant operations.

Reporting to the Field Foreman, key areas of responsibility include:

Responsibilities

• Support Well optimization.
• Support Pigging optimization.
• In charge of maximizing facility run time and efficiency.
• Facilitate and reinforce communication within the team and between the field foremen.
• Maintain a highly functioning team within your area of responsibility.
• In charge of identifying optimization opportunities and support field staff in generating, developing, testing and evaluation of optimization initiatives.
• Retain a high level of understanding and audit, train and mentor less experienced operators on current regulatory, safety, production, competency procedures and initiatives
• Responsible to keep equipment and plant operating at maximum efficiency with minimum down time in a safe and costeffective manner.
• Provide input and support on facility optimization and gathering system modification projects.
• Ensure prompt and accurate reporting of production/fuel/flaring/venting data.
• Work effectively with Production Accounting staff to ensure accuracy in PVR and provide accurate information about flow and meter questions and issues as they may arise.
• Ensure all regulatory requirements are being met and documented.
• Assist in ordering and tracking parts and fittings.

Education & Professional certification

• 510 years of experience in production operations.
• Thorough working knowledge of all plant and field equipment and its functions.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• First Aid, H2S Alive.
• Completion of required safety and technical courses.
• Plant processes including compression, refrigeration & stabilization. Amine process knowledge and experience an asset.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of gathering system and isolation points.
• Positive attitude and strong sense of team commitment.
• Adequate knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Knowledge & Experience

• Able to work independently and within a team environment.
• Able to drive to Northern BC or Calgary or Edmonton.
• Superior troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with others to perform all aspects of maintenance activities.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a 6 ft. ladder.
• Oil and Gas industry experience is an asset.

Salary:
$30.00-$32.00 per hour
