Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the appropriate department manager or supervisor, and the technical direction and guidance of the appropriate lead hand, the Flex Operator will maintain parks and related recreational facilities including occasional arena and pool functions.

The Flex Operator will also perform a variety of duties related to municipal roads, sidewalks, bridges, drainage, right-of-way elements, and signage.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent education
• Must be competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Valid class "G" Ontario's Driver's Licence
• Must be willing to work flexible and sometimes long hours.
• Must be available to be called in as required
• Experience in operating equipment
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use computers and related software
• Provide proof of full vaccination against COVID19 prior to starting employment
• Provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check prior to starting employment
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation:

Wage:
$23.44 per hour increasing to $26.04 per hour following the successful completion of the probationary period (As per the Collective Agreement)
