THE ROLE
Are you passionate about preserving, protecting and showcasing cultural and heritage assets?


If so, we have the job for you At the Citadelle of Québec, a living fortress, you will be immersed in the history of Old Québec, a National Historic Site, with the potential for an incredibly rewarding career.


You will be part of a vibrant and dedicated team and will have the opportunity to preserve collectibles and archive items when they are on display, in transit or in storage.

You will document the state of preservation and handle storage; take part in research, cataloguing, documenting and photographing of artefacts; conduct inventory; and set up, maintain and dismantle exhibits, including creating display and storage racks.


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**College diploma or certificate in Museum Technology, in Conservation Technology or in a related field AND some years of experience in a related field

Experience
In preventative conservation techniques
In artefact protection techniques
In techniques for packaging and storing objects
In documentation and cataloguing
In object photography and digital imaging
In setting up and dismantling exhibits
In storage for mixed media collections

Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
