About this role:

What you will do:

  • Preparation and Verification of New Business Account Documentation, updating Signers, Business Online Banking documentation, CAFT documentation within Meridian's Policies and Procedures
  • Provide professional, confidential administrative support to the Business Banking Team including Posting transactions, Member requests, Processing fees, Preparation of correspondence, Daily mail and supply management
  • Provide a superior Member experience by responding to Members' inquiries and questions, posting transactions and the identification and promotion of products and services
  • Ensure compliance related to policy and government legislation
  • Maintain a current understanding of Banking industry standards and practices
  • Preparation of Bank Confirmations and Credit Ratings
  • Review Daily the Overdraft Accounts, Pay No Pay Reporting and Delinquent Accounts, investigating & preparing recommendations to the Account Managers
  • Provide assistance with monthly reporting including creating and maintaining excel spreadsheets
  • Ensure proper approvals have been obtained prior to reimbursing fees
  • Balancing Fee Suspense GL on a Quarterly basis
  • Ensure compliance related to Meridian policies and procedures and AML regulations
  • Proactively identify areas requiring process improvements and take ownership for proposing creative solutions
  • Interact regularly with third parties including Accountants, Government Offices, Suppliers and Meridian Branches and other Meridian Departments

What you can bring to Meridian:

  • 3 years progressive office and Commercial administrative experience in a professional, financial, banking or like field
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving and time management ability, and a commitment to a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of Ovation, Encore, ACE/CRM and iLend
  • Solid knowledge of Meridian products, policies and procedures and business practices
  • Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision, handle multiple priorities, exercise good judgment and act at all times with discretion, tact and diplomacy while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates creativity in developing and streamlining internal procedures and processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be confident in dealing with Members, external partners, and internal/external staff
  • Positive team player, flexible in nature
