Houseman - Days

The Houseman helps to ensure each guest is provided with a comfortable environment in which to relax and enjoy their stay by maintaining the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel common areas and grounds.

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• removal of garbage from waste bins in public areas (inside and outside the property)

- sweeping/mopping floors of the public areas including the lobby and common areas of each floor
- cleaning up garbage and other waste from the common areas and grounds of the hotel and property
- picking up dirty linen and towels and bringing to laundry
- delivering clean linen to service rooms and room attendants on each floor
- fulfilling requests from guests for amenities, towels/linen etc.
- maintaining the cleanliness of the elevators, public restrooms, guest laundry, and fitness centre
- ensuring each floor is welcoming to guests by maintaining the cleanliness of the public areas including vacuuming the hallways, mopping the floors and dusting the furniture and fixtures
- handling luggage for guests when requested
- performing laundry duties when needed
- bringing housekeeping deliveries to the storage room when required
- performing other duties as needed

From $17.00 per hour

• Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
• Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
