Position SummaryOne full-time community-based OB/GYN position (1 FTE) providing a high-quality efficient service with access to elective and emergency operating room and outpatient clinic time with potential regional resources access.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- On-Call: 1 in 6 call
- Provision of shared on-call responsibilities with OB/GYN group
- In-Patient: Consultations for OSMH credentialed staff and regional partners, MRP care for inpatients including admission, peri-operative management, and discharge, participation and cooperation as a team member
- Out-Patient: Provision of out-patient consultations, ambulatory colposcopy when resources allow
- Administrative and Quality: Involvement in strategic planning, program development of OB/GYN services, ongoing quality improvement, safety activities related to obstetrical and surgical care, participation in hospital committees, efficient resource utilization
REMUNERATION: Fee for Service, HOCC for on-call
APP- Alternate Payment Plan submission complete and anticipated approval for 2024
QualificationsEducation:
- College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license
- Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
Experience:
- Previous OB/GYN experience preferred
- Special interest or sub-specialty training in advanced laparoscopy, urogynecology, and/or community infertility considered an asset
Competencies: Function effectively as a consultant, establishing and maintaining clinical knowledge, performing assessments, using preventive and therapeutic interventions, demonstrating procedural skills, seeking appropriate consultations
Other: Eligible for membership on the credentialed staff, commitment to professional development through education programs and self-directed learning
