Faroex, situated in Gimli, Manitoba, is part of NanoXplore Inc., a company specializing in manufacturing plastic and composite components for the Agriculture, Alternative Energy, and Commercial Transportation sectors.

Faroex is in search of a Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Technologist to handle design, development, continuous improvement, and maintenance/repair tasks. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities such as troubleshooting production issues, designing equipment and tooling, upgrading facilities and equipment, and refining process development. Additionally, there may be hands-on work related to new product and process development.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology from an accredited University or College
  • Eligible for registration with CTTAM as a Technologist
  • Experience in tooling, equipment, product, or process design
  • An innovative and practical problem-solving approach
  • Proficiency in Solid modeling software (preferably Solid Edge or Solid Works)
  • Knowledge of fabrication, machining, manufacturing, and assembly processes
  • Driven by a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English) and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects efficiently
  • Experience in composites or plastics manufacturing is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing is a bonus
  • Experience in process automation, PLCs, and hands-on machining and fabricating is a definite advantage
