Job Details

  • Other responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct audit work based on established audit plans and execute the audit in accordance with established standards ensuring completion
  • Develop/contribute to the audit planning process for specific audits, ensuring appropriate programs and risk assessments are completed accordingly
  • Design audit plans based on the Bank's risk based approach and complete audit plans within the prescribed time, budget, and expected quality
  • Review the audit work completed, and prepare the audit findings grid and audit reports
  • Take ownership of the finding follow up and resolution process and work with Business Partners to ensure that finding resolution milestones are met
  • Manage the ongoing audit communications process with the client during and subsequent to the audit
  • Present objective and independent audit opinion on the adequacy of internal controls in accordance with established professional audit standards, including presentation of findings and recommendations to client and audit management
  • Execute followup of findings raised from regulatory and internal divisional audits in accordance with firm policy
  • Lead/support the audit engagement and risk assessment process to identify key risks and identify opportunities where controls are missing or are inadequate to mitigate these risks

Job Requirements

  • Professional designation preferred (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CIA, CPA, PMP, PMI).
  • Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or other relevant disciplines is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the banking related regulatory environments is an asset.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Confident presentation skills and proven capability to facilitate working with auditees and senior management at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze and form an opinion on risks and controls relating to IT systems and link to associated business impacts.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Unix/Windows operating systems and Oracle/SQL Database security configuration is an asset.
  • Working knowledge and/or firsthand experience with emerging technologies (e.g. Cloud, Blockchain, Agile Development, APIs, Big Data) is an asset.
  • Some travel may be required.
