We are in search of a Senior Solutions Analyst to join our team at any of our Ontario offices, located in Toronto, Vaughan, Waterloo, or London.
Leading the IT framework, the Enterprise Architecture & Security team is responsible for shaping the overall IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Governance & Security, covering areas such as Datacenter, Cloud, Networks, End Users devices, and more.
The Senior Solutions Analyst plays a vital role in the firm's operations by managing SQL Server instances, data integrations, architecture, analysis, reporting, and databases across all departments. They oversee data, infrastructure, and resource lifecycles, ensuring high availability and optimal performance through monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting. Additionally, they maintain comprehensive support documentation for all active database instances.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Solutions Analyst position should have a strong background in Data Architecture, Database Administration, integration, analysis, and reporting, with experience in business requirement gathering, capacity planning, project management, and problem resolution.
Key Job Duties:
- Monitor LOB applications and SQL Server instances for peak performance;
- Enhance monitoring by adding detail on monitored queries and processes;
- Optimize database growth and index performance;
- Review database backup operations and ensure consistency;
- Maintain documentation for all production instances;
- Enhance security models for production, test, and development instances;
- Review and address application enhancement and database operations requests;
- Conduct reviews of resource utilization and inform instance lifecycle management;
- Consolidate data integration operations;
- Participate in integration/workflow platform development efforts;
- Own key application offerings and focus on lifecycle management and improvement;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define solution requirements and project scope;
- Assist quality assurance teams in translating requirements into test conditions;
- Work with technology partners to analyze system capabilities and define solutions.
Your Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in Computer Science or related field;
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with 3 years in a Senior level Role;
- Knowledge of SQL Clustering, High Availability, and DR options;
- Experience with operational automation using scripts;
- Expertise in ETL design, PowerBI, Analytics, and other ETL Tools;
- Strong understanding of relational objects and performance tuning;
- Experience in development platforms such as .NET, Java, etc.;
- Experience in data warehouse system integrations and cloud-based infrastructures;
- Proficiency in deploying Power BI reports and Dashboards;
- Knowledge of SDLC models and application development methodologies;
- Previous work with legal industry applications and security measures;
- Skills in business requirements gathering, process development, and Enterprise Governance;
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Scripting languages;
- Familiarity with Aderant, IntApp, Iridium, and iManage is a plus.
- Experience in Incident Management, Security Analysis, and Risk management.
