Job duties:

Leadership Duties and Responsibilities:

  • On a daily basis, ensure full-cycle production in the main brewhouse, from milling to fermentation achieving desired quality and cycle time of product as per Company and Customer standards and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes weekly and daily brewing and fermentation schedule, on time in full no errors. [ONTIFNE] including supervising, coordinating and scheduling work of brewhouse operators.
  • Ensures products are tasted/degusted for quality control purposes. Works closely with the Head of Quality and Innovation on all quality control matters.
  • Assesses recipes and performs high-level evaluation of needs before planning and implementing the recipe's production.
  • Makes modification to software settings, parameters for brewhouse recipes.
  • Performs daily quality check on process parameters of all ongoing products.
  • Enters hourly production updates and KPI controls into the LIMS system.
  • Makes changes to process parameters where necessary, and in collaboration with clients, to optimize yield and efficiency of production.
  • Performs pilot batches when necessary/
  • Liaises with all relevant internal departments (such as planning, supply chain, brewing, packaging, quality) daily to ensure efficient and qualitative production and packaging takes place. Addresses issues that may affect production as they arise.
  • Attends Daily Brewing Meetings to solve any brewing and blending issues with the Brewing Team.
  • Attends weekly KPI review meeting.
  • Prepares daily production data for supply chain team.
  • Attends Bi-weekly Leadership Circle session.

Administrative and General Duties

  • Attends to manual works, on occasion and where required, including, but not limited to, lifting malt packs, cleaning tanks and production lines, harvesting and dosing yeast etc.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with Company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs any other duties, as assigned, or required.

  • Demonstrates responsible decisionmaking skills within context of role and understands when to elevate issues to Senior Management to resolve.
  • Responsible for determining most appropriate process parameters based on the product being worked with. Makes improvements where required.

  • Determines resolution and course of action when encountering difficult situations, and unclear or imprecise requests for information.
Physical Effort

  • Extended periods of walking, standing in brewing and fermentation area.
  • Manual handling required frequently, up to a weight of 50 llbs.
  • Frequent manual dexterity, speed and hand/eye coordination for work at computer.
Mental Effort

  • Concentrates on listening and responding to internal and external inquiries/requests.
  • A high level of concentration required as a result of attention to detail when entering data accurately.
  • A high level of concentration required when creating process parameters.
  • Concentrates when testing products for quality.
  • Uses office equipment (i.e. phone, computer) daily.
