POSITION PURPOSE:

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work at the intersection of development, operations, and security, ensuring that our systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with industry standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Security Infrastructure:

  • Configure and manage security tools and services such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze logs, alerts, and events to identify and respond to security incidents and threats.
  • Implement and manage access controls, authentication, and authorization mechanisms for systems and applications.

DevOps Automation:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrate security scanning tools (e.g., static analysis, dynamic analysis, dependency analysis) into the CI/CD pipeline to identify vulnerabilities early in the development process.
  • Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure using tools like Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in security communities, forums, and conferences to share knowledge and enhance the security posture of the organization.
  • Continuously improve and optimize security processes, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Understanding of network management principles.

Experience in systems administration of Windows and Linux based operating systems.

Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, Sentinel SIEM solution or similar technologies and Endpoint Security Solutions.

Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, penetration testing, vulnerability scans and IDS/IPS concepts.

Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.

Ability to learn and communicate technical information to non-technical people.

Must have excellent written & oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

3-5 years of experience in Information Technology (experience is Security considered a plus).

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

Supervisory Requirements: Does not require supervisory experience

Hours: To be determined based upon business need. This position is part of a team that operates on a 24x7x365 schedule and the employee must be willing to work on the schedule needed by the business. Shift work is required and subject to change depending on SOC operations.
