What You Will Do

  • Working alongside and developing advanced Planning/Scheduling skills from the Supply Chain Manager
  • Generate and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) related activities. Schedule prototype and pilot run orders with EMS supplier based on engineering development requirements
  • Review component shortages with EMS Supplier for NPI builds and assist in procuring parts/locating alternates to meet engineering development schedules
  • Work with Engineering/project Manager on revision changes for NPI builds/prototypes to ensure accuracy at EMS supplier
  • Highlight component constraints to Supply Chain Manager and collaboratively mitigate risk to customer commitments
  • Escalate when ability to hit customer committed dates are at risk
  • Assist in coordinating the transition of Engineering Change Request (ECR)/End of Life (EOL) products
  • Assist and troubleshoot issues with EMS Suppliers as they arise component broker sourcing, material delays, missing/lost parts, label/scanning errors, etc.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, specifically within production planning and scheduling.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Post Secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • NPI Planning experience
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, etc.
