Summary

Hourly Pay: $35.00 plus shift premium

Schedule: Friday to Monday - Swing shift (2 weeks 6:30-3pm / 3-11:30pm)

The Technician IV performs complex diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls in a timely manner, meeting quality and reliability goals. This role involves considerable judgment, mentoring other technicians, and providing expert vehicle diagnostics. Additionally, there is a focus on leadership, development, and training of technicians. Specializations may include refrigeration, electronics, and exhaust systems, requiring extensive transportation experience and relevant certifications.

Essential Functions

  • Perform varied vehicle maintenance and repair tasks with minimal support
  • Engage with customers/drivers to diagnose complaints and guide technicians
  • Conduct facility maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Utilize maintenance systems and documentation effectively
  • Adhere to safety and corporate guidelines
  • Provide additional operational support when needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain tire and wheel systems ensuring safety and quality
  • Execute preventive maintenance and mentor other technicians
  • Handle air and hydraulic brake maintenance
  • Manage A/C, heater, and refrigeration systems
  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle components
  • Perform electrical system diagnostics and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair steering, suspension, and alignment systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair various engine systems
  • Address fuel system malfunctions and repairs
  • Inspect and repair clutch, cooling, drive, and lighting systems
  • Handle vehicle coupling, charging, and cranking systems

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate strong mechanical skills and ability to diagnose complex issues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and in a team
  • Proficient in computer skills and able to multitask effectively

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Basic tools and required certifications
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • Travel may be required
