1 year with an option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, subject to budget approval and mutual agreement in writing from both parties.


Job Description:
The OpenText Content Server System Administrator will work in collaboration with the internal OpenText IT support team and a Records Management Team to:

Provide on-premise OpenText Content Server and associated modules support: Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software-related problems.

Monitor the system to ensure the OpenText Content Server solution is operating as expected, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Gather requirements and work with an OpenText partner to conduct a system health check to develop solutions to system-related pain points.

Develop custom applications and interfaces utilizing OpenText APIs.
Analyze and resolve problems associated with server hardware, operating systems, and applications software.
Provide second-level customer system support for customer software/system applications.
Provide guidance from a design and architecture perspective related to functional and system requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

3-5 years of experience working with the OpenText Content Server in an on-premise environment.
Knowledge and experience working with OpenText Directory Services (OTDS).
Experience in maintaining and upgrading OpenText Content Server software, including planning, execution, and testing.
Experience with custom development utilizing OpenText Content Server APIs is an asset.
Familiarity with software development methodologies and project management principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Thorough knowledge of software development methods, practices, and procedures.
Ability to prepare technical design and write technical specifications.

Additional Requirements:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts.
Provide advice and assistance on matters related to the work.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision, although direction will be given.
Maintain confidentiality.
