Cascadia Metals **is accepting resumes for a Forklift Operator to join our growing team. This role will be a permanent, full-time position in our Mississauga Branch.

Responsibilities:

  • Loading trucks from small customer pickups to full Btrain trailers
  • Unloading trucks with coil, sheet and site supplies
  • Unload rail cars and containers
  • Operate a forklift to move material within the warehouse and yard
  • Organizing and sorting material for loading and space optimization
  • Scanning loads with an RF scanner
  • Reading paperwork to ensure the accuracy of the load
  • Doublechecking loads for accuracy
  • Poly wrap trucks
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Must have 25yrs forklift experience and uptodate ticket
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Steel handling experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Flexibility: able to multitask and work as part of a team
  • Ability to read orders and complete essential paperwork
