Beckie Hydrogeologists Ltd. (Beckie) provides professional consulting services in geology, hydrogeology, and environmental sciences. The company is licensed to practice in Saskatchewan and Alberta.


Our company specializes in the design, direction, and evaluation of unique drilling and water well installation programs as applied to source water supplies, induced surface water infiltration systems, flowing artesian well installations, dewatering well systems, aquifer monitoring and management, well maintenance, well decommissioning, and environmental impact assessments.

Representative clients include First Nations, all levels of government, Crown Corporations, private sector companies, consulting engineering companies, land developers, and agricultural ventures.


What This Position Includes:

  • Field Work:_
Under the supervision of a senior hydrogeologist/engineer you will provide resident services during hydrogeologic field programs including but not limited to the following:

  • Installation of aquifer monitoring equipment.
  • Geologic interpretation of lithology during test drilling programs.
  • Collection of water samples for water quality testing.
  • Piezometer installations.
  • Water well construction.
  • Water well pumping tests and stepdrawdown tests.
  • Water well rehabilitation.
  • Water well decommissioning.
  • Thorough note taking, data compilation, and realtime evaluation be completed and effectively communicated to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety protocols are respected.
  • Office Work:_
  • Preparation of data tables, hydrographs, and record drawings using the computer software utilized by Beckie.
  • Aquifer and Pump Test Analyses.
  • Technical report writing.
  • Managing project budgets.
  • Additional office duties as required.

What You'll Bring to Beckie:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Registered or eligible to be registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.).
  • 3+ years direct experience in hydrogeological site investigations, drilling programs, and/or environmental impact assessments.
  • Proficient in technical writing and Microsoft Suite.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and AquiferTest computer software is considered an asset.
  • An ability to stay extremely organized and meet tight deadlines.
  • Enjoyment in being part of a closeknit team and you thrive on expanding your skills and working on multiple projects.
