Role Overview
The Vice President of Stakeholder and Regulatory Affairs plays a crucial role in the leadership team, reporting directly to the President and COO. Working alongside other senior leaders, this position is responsible for engaging with the community, handling external communications, nurturing relationships with Indigenous communities, and managing government and regulatory affairs.
This role focuses on shaping the company's strategic assets, enhancing its culture, optimizing staff performance, and maintaining a positive reputation with stakeholders. Responsibilities include designing permitting strategies, ensuring community support for projects, and promoting employee growth.
This role is based in Saskatoon, SK, with domestic and international travel required.

Regulatory Leadership:

- Legal Understanding: Knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations.
- Permitting Process: Managing current and future permitting processes.
- Future Planning: Incorporating future regulations into strategies.
- Communication with Authorities: Engaging with regulatory agencies effectively.
- Strategy Development: Planning strategies for project approvals.
Office Administration:
- Establishing policies and controls to ensure compliance.
- Developing training programs for regulatory education.
- Generating performance reports and analytics.
Communication and Relationship Management:
- Providing strategic direction to regulatory and engagement teams.
- Cultivating a culture of integrity and compliance.
- Managing budgets and resources for compliance efforts.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Representing the organization in public forums and events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Over 20 years of experience in similar roles.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and regulatory affairs.
- Background in legal or regulatory matters.
- Collaboration with Indigenous communities is a bonus.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
