POSITION TITLE:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
JOB TYPE:
Full-time, Permanent**
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years full cycle accounts payable experience
- Completion of accounting diploma or related education is preferred
- Experience in month end closing processes
- Knowledge of accounting principles, GST filing, and reconciliations
- Excellent time management and strong attention to detail required
- Good multitasking skills and superior interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, strong problem solving skills
- Demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
- Good multitasking skills, superior interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong sense of ethics and proven ability to handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel is required
- Working knowledge and experience in accounting software a strong asset
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify accuracy of purchase transactions by performing 4way matching
- Ensures that invoices and purchase orders are supported by senior management
- Post invoices, assign proper GL code, and recover GST paid on purchases
- Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, prepare cheque run
- Reconciliation of corporate credit card and liaise with card holders for backup
- Process weekly expense reports and respond to employees in a timely manner
- Prepare intercompany charges and provide documentations for charge backs
- Follow up with clients on outstanding invoices and responding to invoice inquiries
- Sort and file documents according to accounts payable process
- Assist with other administrative functions, hiring, training, and filing functions
- Other duties as assigned to support day to day operational requirements

- This position will be based out Devon, Alberta
