Qualifications:

  • Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario
  • Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
  • Preferably 13 years of work experience specializing in Functional Abilities Evaluations and Occupational Rehabilitation is considered an asset
  • Multilingual in English and Cantonese is a plus

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and work hardening programs
  • Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular oneonone education to clients
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
  • Ensure returntowork plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart
