Development & Architecture Support for

Public Safety Solutions:

Inspectorate of Policing (IOP) – Justice Technology Services (JTS) developed and launched a portal for the Inspectorate of Policing (IOP) for public users to submit complaints.

Office of Chief Coroners (OCC) – Develop a CRM solution/strategy for coroners projects like Inquest Management and coroners portals.

Risk-driven tracking database (RTD) – Design and development of architecture and solutions/enhancements for RTD solution that is based on Microsoft CRM dynamics platform.

If required) IT Solutions Development
Work with the project team, support team and partners in extending and enhancing the IOP Portal. Development and Configuration
Architectural and Design Documentation
Experience leading the architecture design from conception through implementation.
Leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical architectures at the specified experience level.

Extensive experience with at least various platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocols Experience with middleware and gateways.

Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments.
Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, and implementation of applications.
Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments.
leading the delivery and design of architecture in collaboration with project implementation activities

  • developing baseline architectures, API and integration models, data mapping from data base fields to APIs
  • provide advice and recommendations to stakeholders, management, and staff regarding most effective design, architecture, and system implementation strategies.
  • Experience in Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics
  • provide guidance and training to project teams on design, architecture, and project implementation activities
Technical Skills
Experience with Agile methodologies

Hands-on, in-depth understanding and practical knowledge of Azure technologies, Microsoft Power Platform (including but not limited to Power Pages, Power Apps, Model-driven apps), .NET, DevOps, and CRM tools like MS Dynamics.

Expert knowledge of developing APIs and web services.
Expertise in the delivery of project and baseline architecture, including Business and Information architecture domains, IT strategies, enterprise architecture principles/methodologies/ Frameworks and guidelines for Enterprise Architecture artifacts/processes
Knowledge of business process & data modeling, analysis, re-engineering and architecture.
Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
Preparation of overall architecture solutions, conducting walkthroughs, reviews and assessments, and analyzing the technical and business impact, product integration, enhancements, infrastructure capacity, development and deployment, data distribution, integration and access
Provide advice and recommendations to stakeholders, management, and staff regarding the most effective design, architecture and system implementation strategies, enabling ministry business/programs to achieve targeted strategies and objectives
On going process and at the end of the contract
Knowledge to be Transferred to: Project Manager/ Team members/ JTS FTE Staff
Schedule knowledge transfer sessions and provide guidance/ training to FTE staff

25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive, unless otherwise identified.

These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation.

During the duration of the assignment, you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Manager's requirements for the Project you are assigned to.

Experience leading the architecture design from conception through implementation.

Experience working in the public sector (previous experience in JTS will be an asset)
