Reporting to the Supervisor, Mechanical Integrity, the Asset Integrity Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Mechanical Integrity Programs (Pressure Equipment, Tank, Piping) across ATCO EnPower facilities.

One of the primary responsibilities of the Asset Integrity Coordinator is to coordinate essential deliverables for the Mechanical Integrity Program(s) and ensure their proper execution and documentation throughout the asset lifecycle.

Furthermore, this role involves upholding the mechanical integrity of ATCO EnPower assets under the purview of the ATCO Owner User programs.

In addition to this, the position will oversee the complete mechanical equipment lifecycle to guarantee compliance with relevant integrity programs, from procurement to maintenance to rentals.

This position requires frequent travel to field offices and assets, some of which are located in remote areas.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with operations personnel to accomplish objectives outlined in the Integrity Management Program(s)
  • Assist the Chief Inspector in implementing mechanical integrity programs and any associated initiatives as needed.
  • Handle accident/incident/event reporting for EnPower equipment.
  • Contribute to the development of policies regarding mechanical equipment integrity, service, and inspection.
  • Coordinate the assessment of tenders, contracts, and service orders related to:
  • installation of new or used mechanical equipment,
- inspection of new or in-service equipment
- repairs or alterations of pressure equipment

  • Conduct NDE and Destructive Examinations as well as safety valve servicing.
  • Support and document spot audits on contractors and field service providers to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Verify that all contractors providing services on pressure equipment possess necessary competencies, permits, and approvals. Keep records of competencies when required.
  • Organize all regulatory inspections, ensuring they are scheduled and completed within approved timelines and intervals.
  • Manage the inspection report review and assessment process, ensuring all reports are comprehensive, signed, and uploaded to CMMS as necessary.
  • Assist in reporting mechanical equipment nonconformities and lead discussions on mitigation strategies and timelines.
  • Participate in the regular reviews of mechanical integrity programs (including KPI reporting)
  • Update annual ESRs
  • Support other Business Units within ATCO by promoting compliance and collaboration.
  • Assist in audits of Integrity Programs and Equipment, serve as a technical lead, document audit findings, and facilitate a safe and compliant return to service.
  • Review and populate corporate risk register entries. Escalate risks to the Supervisor, Mechanical Integrity when immediate or significant action is necessary for mitigation.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Track NCR, CAR, and PAR reporting and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and NDE contractors to adopt relevant new technologies addressing our fleet damage mechanisms.
  • Champion health and safety initiatives in daily operations.
  • Engage in safety meetings and corporate emergency response planning exercises.
  • Report and investigate incidents to prevent future occurrences by identifying and eliminating root causes.
  • Take an active role in the Joint Health and Safety Committee and/or stress and burnout management initiatives at EnPower.
  • Educate and monitor contractors and individuals in areas where hazards and risks are present. Foster an inclusive and safe work environment for all employees and contractors.
