Mechanical Superintendent

The Trade Superintendent role involves managing and supervising mechanical site construction work with a focus on delivering high standards of HSE, quality, and productivity consistently.

• Ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence to NAC's Health, Safety, and Environment policies
• Foster positive work relationships and morale across the project team
• Demonstrate expertise in the trade and take necessary actions to ensure clarity of work requirements
• Manage material and labor costs efficiently, meeting or exceeding project estimates
• Participate in project work package development and execution
• Optimize trade scheduling for improved financial outcomes
• Coordinate effectively with other trades to maintain project timelines
• Plan and oversee material deliveries to avoid work disruptions
• Maintain proper material storage and tool maintenance
• Ensure site organization and cleanliness
• Control material purchases to minimize waste and unnecessary costs
• Assist in weekly planning meetings and time sheet approvals
• Administer contract terms and project specifications effectively
• Identify and communicate changes in project scope and requirements
• Provide technical expertise for project implementation and commissioning
• Maintain accurate record drawings for trade work
• Work closely with project management to meet project deadlines
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members
• Provide clear direction and performance expectations to the workforce
• Offer regular performance feedback and coaching to the team
• Identify and nurture internal talent for development

• Mechanical Trade certification in Plumbing or Pipefitting
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leading plumbing and mechanical teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Ability to assess trade performance and problem-solving skills
• Results-oriented with excellent time management abilities
