Whitecap is currently looking for a Project Manager with a successful track record and hands-on experience in software project management. The ideal candidate will lead project teams in designing, developing, and implementing web-based business systems for clients in various industries. Our projects often involve Microsoft technologies such as custom .NET development, Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint. We seek someone who is enthusiastic, driven, and customer-focused. The ability to collaborate effectively with end users, management, and team members is essential. This role requires independence, multitasking capabilities, and strong interpersonal skills.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Being a strategic business partner focused on stakeholders, managing a portfolio of key projects and programs, fully committed to project and client success, handling projects of different sizes and complexities concurrently.
  • Developing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, work plans, timelines, and scope
  • Maintaining transparent communication with all project stakeholders, especially clients and project sponsors
  • Ensuring that client expectations and quality standards are achieved for all project deliverables
  • Directly supervising design, development, and quality assurance teams
  • Fostering a positive work environment that attracts and retains top talent
  • Ensuring timely submission of timesheets for the team
  • Occasionally engaging in systems definition and delivery activities, particularly in requirements analysis, systems design, and quality assurance.
  • Supporting pre-sales activities alongside business development personnel, including sales calls and proposal preparation

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in project/program management and implementing project management methodologies and tools.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills, with a strong and trustworthy demeanor when interacting with business partners.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, influencing, and conflict management abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff.
  • Experience collaborating with senior management.
  • Effective negotiation skills to address client concerns.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools like MS Project and Azure DevOps.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A degree in business or technology
  • PMI PMP certification
