Description and RequirementsWe are looking for an experienced manager with a passion for server product Performance Design, Validation and Benchmarks as part of Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) development efforts. As the leader on the team, your experience building and managing teams is very important. Knowing how to drive hard issues, motivate the team and get things done is critical by leveraging your technical and leadership skills.
Candidates should be familiar with development lifecycles of technical products, preferably data center products. Candidates must also have experience driving a team to meet product milestones and deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing the local performance development team, including execution of managerial duties, key performance indicator setting, reviews, ensuring needed skills are developed, cross training, etc.
- Hiring of new employees both regular and contract based
- Leading the local team to meet project milestones for product Performance Design, Validation and Benchmarks.
- Collaborating with global teams (other performance teams, development teams and Product Assurance teams, generally in US and Asia) for the best product performance design.
- Leading team on customer performance issue clarification and solutions.
- Developing new procedures to drive efficiency into the product performance development process.
- Gathering and presenting status
Skills/Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 8+ years' work experience in the datacenter industry, 5+ years leading teams.
- BS or MS degree in related field
- Understanding of server architecture and HW/FW feature
Preferred Requirements:
- Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
- Strong virtual team/cross team, group collaboration to drive necessary processes and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Strong technical & process development skills, with a clear ability/desire to go deep technically when needed.
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities.
- Understanding of new server development and test cycles
- Understanding of server performance design
- Understanding of server HW or FW design
- Related technical skills – Server OS's, Networking, Storage, Systems Management, etc.
- Automation – developing or experience driving workloads to automation.
