Senior Project Manager (Group Disability) — Remote
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client's team in the insurance industry.

This role involves leading and managing multiple concurrent projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines, budgets, and scopes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the delivery and execution of all phases of assigned projects from initiation to closure, managing timelines, budget, and scope for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Effectively communicate with and present to project leadership and sponsors/stakeholders (including senior leaders) to gain buy-in, facilitate decision-making, and promote confidence in the ability to deliver.
  • Build collaborative relationships with project sponsors and stakeholder teams.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align scope, time, cost, quality, resources, and risks with on-going monitoring of project execution for any deviations from the plan, invoking corrective action and contingency plans where necessary.
  • Motivate, engage, and focus efforts of multi-site project teams by providing clear direction, ensuring access to required tools, and removing barriers as necessary.
  • Establish effective project communications, ensuring that project delivery expectations are clearly understood and specified, and that information/updates are distributed in a timely manner to ensure stakeholder buy-in and project success.
  • Prioritize and manage own workload and the workload of project team members to deliver quality results against aggressive timelines.
  • Build and maintain detailed schedules and RAID logs, proactively managing risks/issues while effectively leveraging the change control process and escalating for support and awareness as appropriate.
  • Play a role in organizing, attending, and facilitating project workshops with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Ensure that appropriate processes and techniques are being leveraged by project teams, identifying any necessary training or support required.
  • Ensure all projects have an appropriate level of governance and are executed with demonstrated alignment to project execution standards and practices.
  • Ensure successful and seamless transition of projects to Operations upon project completion.
What you will need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on operational and process enhancement projects.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite, focusing on Tableau, Miro, Visio, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others and represent business priorities in decision-making.
  • Experience in Group Disability Insurance is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
