Investment Associate (Trade Execution Associate)

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in White Rock is seeking an Investment Associate (Trade Execution Specialist) to join a successful Private Investment Management Team.

You will execute all portfolio trading and support the Portfolio Manager in keeping portfolio models up to date.

What will you do?:

  • Execute model portfolio changes (Trading Execution)
  • Exchange foreign currency when needed
  • Keeping models up to date on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Reviewing cash balances (debits & credits) for investment or debit coverage for discretionary and nondiscretionary accounts
  • Execute all other trading for team members. (i.e. post client review portfolio changes, monthly AFT & RIF payments, on off EFTs & bank wires)
  • Trade Execution only


 Debit forecasting
  • Reviewing accounts to ensure cash balances for quarterly fees
  • Reviewing and maintaining Private Investment Management (PIM) Dashboard. Keeping client accounts on side with regards to their current Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
  • Reviewing and maintaining the MRGD reports for investment of funds (i.e. deposits, contributions, PACs).
  • Reviewing and executing on any reorg notices
  • Draw on your social media skills to update the team's communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.

What do you need to succeed?:

Must-have:

  • Approval as an Investment Representative (IR) with IIROC
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Nice-to-have:

  • 4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highlydeveloped technical skills
