What you'll be doing
As the Process Engineer, you will report to the Corporate Automation Engineering Manager and design processes and equipment for the manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing new business from customer drawing through process implementation.
- Developing process plans, equipment specifications, and process layouts while ensuring TPS philosophy is applied.
- Creating detailed schedules to manage all aspects of project management.
- Leading process design reviews and participating in customer part and machine design reviews.
- Ensuring communication between platform, production, manufacturing engineering, and die design.
- Preparing capital budgets and projects for approval.
- Coordinating start-up manufacturing processes for new products.
- Leading potential secondary automation development projects.
- Coordinating all ongoing engineering changes associated with the project portfolio.
The Details
This is a full-time permanent position for 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday. Traveling up to 30% to support other corporate locations may be required.
What you'll bring:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3-5 years of technical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Experience in using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Strong hands-on approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- MS Office computer skills: MS Windows, MS Project
- Capital budget management experience
- Problem-Solving/Troubleshooting abilities
- Ability in planning, organizing, time management, and decision making
