We are currently recruiting for aFull-Time
Special Project Manager to support our Strategic Sourcing Department.

Position Overview


Provide support to lead and implement strategic sourcing processes which achieve the best possible overall value by implementing contracts for safe, quality products and services.

Demonstrate an ethical, professional, and accountable manner as a liaison between Members, Suppliers, Internal Stakeholders and Strategic Alliances. Responsible for upholding and supporting Public Procurement laws and directives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Actively participates in the development and implementation of corporate business plans, contract development negotiations, award programs, Supplier and Member compliance, and new opportunities
  • Assists Executive Leadership Team in the development of policy recommendations for Board consideration relating to key areas of responsibility
  • Attend monthly Management meetings and review respective areas of responsibility
  • Full accountability for contract activity, including development, award, and Management
  • Oversee and direct the contract process from start to finish, ensuring the best possible outcome
  • Monitor business performance monthly/quarterly and implement plans required to maintain target(s)
  • Ensure all members understand their roles and responsibilities
  • Provide pertinent information relating to regulatory or business environment information
  • Crossfunctional team coordination
  • Risk assessment/risk mitigation
  • Contingency planning

Sourcing Initiatives

  • Full accountability for strategic sourcing activities, including development, award, and Management
  • Oversee and direct the sourcing initiative process from start to finish, ensuring the best possible outcome
  • Research business environment for initiatives
  • Manage all stakeholders through their roles and responsibilities within the sourcing initiative
  • Provide pertinent information relating to regulatory business environment information
  • Review Analysis and create financial Analysis
  • Preparing and presenting to all stakeholders all stages of sourcing initiatives
  • Seek opportunity to scale contracts to drive healthcare savings
  • Identify new market segments or contracting opportunities
  • Maintain/attain credentials and association membership/affiliations to support professional corporate and individual recognition

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Business management or related discipline degree or diploma, (BA or MBA) or equivalent related experience.
  • Certified SCMP Designation or PMP Certification, Public Procurement Designation, or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Contracting, Strategic Sourcing, Public Procurement Purchasing, Material Management, Project Management, and Management experience in a Canadian healthcarerelated field
  • Demonstrated ability to influence for optimal business decisions and overall imperatives.
  • Excellent evaluation skills to analyze bids and make effective vendor recommendations.
  • Familiarity with online RFx software (i.e., Bonfire / Biddingo);

Location:

  • Main office location is flexible
  • Regular travel to/from Burlington to London Site
