In line with the organization's established vision and values, and working under general supervision following professional practice standards, you will perform radiographic/fluoroscopic tasks in collaboration with radiologists, physicians and other healthcare professionals.


Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Nights - 23:30 to 07:30, 23:59 to 08:00, Rotating

University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest Acute Care facility within the Northern Health region, serving as a focal point for specialized health services.

Furthermore, it is a teaching hospital:

  • Offers undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program in partnership with the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia.
  • Accommodates residents in UBC's Family Practice Residency Program
  • Serves as a primary clinical education site for nursing and various health sciences students at UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, BCIT, and other educational institutions.
UHNBC has undergone significant expansions, renovations, and acquisition of new equipment totaling nearly $100 million since 2001:

  • Addition for patient care, including an expanded emergency room and modernized ICU
  • Advanced maternal-child care center featuring a single room neonatal ICU
  • Facilities to support undergraduate physician training
  • MRI unit
UHNBC is also home to a cancer center for Northern BC, providing a broad spectrum of cancer treatments, including radiation therapy.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and eligibility for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT.
