Responsibilities:

Main Tasks:

  • Responsible for programs & policies of high complexity (i.e. complex reinsurance panels, captives structures, high premium/visibility accounts).
  • Review and interpret source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files and accounts / claims experience and if required, escalation to UW in case of missing information.
  • In case of AZ multinational programs, provide reccomendations to UW on program structure (i.e. Deal support), steering of implementation globally, including providing intructions to all involved SOEs, reconciliation of all issues and addressing questions regarding cover and wording with UW. Authorization in line with assigned limits (Booking Authority = 1,000,000 EUR). Acting as mentor / trainer to team members and new joiners.
  • Collect and provide relevant information for renewal/quotation to UW.
  • Using or providing (in case of renewal) all relevant information to accurately and efficiently prepare policyset up and issuance as well as booking preparation for new and renewed business.
  • Invoice customers and produce all relevant documentation, e.g. policies, certificates, endorsements to broker (or client), coinsurers, captives and reinsurers.
  • Compiling of manuscript wordings and nonstandard policy wordings.
  • Regular reconciliation and discussion of content with UW and broker/customer.
  • Preview of revised broker wordings compared to expiring.
  • Providing suggestions to UWs.
  • Invoice customers and produce all documentation, e.g. policies, certificates, endorsements to broker (or client), coinsurers in a timely and accurate manner as applicable.
  • Provide accurate and complete material (eg handover sheets) to Global Business Operations for all offshoring tasks (policies set up, premiums booking...) and manage referrals received from SSU.
  • Independently lead new business and renewal implementation meeetings with Brokers and clients and proactively provide status updates on the progress of the global program

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate or specialty insurance
  • 3+ years of Project work experience either on the project management side or as project member
  • 3+ years of leadership experience (not necessarily people management), but e.g. project lead or lead in working groups
  • 3+ yeras of experience in working in an international environment
  • Ability to continuously develop technical and systems knowledge, business and insurance understanding
  • Good understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages
  • Advanced understanding of policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation
  • Completion of a recognized insurance qualification (or equivalent in the Financial sector)
