Assist in the planning and implementation of group treatment programs within our Entry to School program in coordination with:

  • Speech -Language Pathologists (SLP)
  • Occupational Therapists (OT)
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analysists (BCBAs)


At Aspire Academy, our unique approach to group learning incorporates a number of different teaching styles (i.e., small group, triadic, dyadic, one-on-one) and requires our team to work in a variety of capacities each day.

To create an optimal learning environment for our students, our CDAs must think on their feet, problem solve on the spot, and work flexibly and collaboratively as a team.

In addition to the behaviours listed above, a CDA at Aspire:

  • Works within a specific classroom/group; in collaboration with therapists, SLPs, OTs, BCBAs
  • Assesses students learning (ongoing, informal, and formal), adjusting and planning lessons accordingly
  • Establishes and enforces classroom routines and rules that promote classroom discipline and structure
  • Supports and assists with the daytoday happenings in the classroom/group in order to ensure the program runs as smoothly as possible
  • Seeks support, guidance and clarification from supervisors as needed
  • Actively participates in regular supervision meetings
  • Participates in brainstorming meetings
  • Collaborates with supervisors to create Progress Reports

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
