Physiatrist

Overview

Mackenzie Health is currently looking for a Physiatrist to join their team in the inpatient musculoskeletal rehabilitation unit, with the opportunity to consult on patients in other hospital programs. The Physician will collaborate with the Chief of Family Practice, the Physician Lead for Complex Continuing Care and Palliative Care, and the Physician Lead for Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
- Provide consultative assessments for physical, mental, and occupational rehabilitation needs of patients in various programs at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital
- Address musculoskeletal issues impacting patients' progress within the rehabilitation program
- Work closely with other Physiatrists for cross-hospital consultations
- Collaborate with community partners for patient support
- Participate in meetings and committees as necessary
- Fulfill duties and responsibilities as per agreed upon guidelines

Education – Certification – Licenses
- Medical degree approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Postdoctoral training in physical medicine and rehabilitation residency
- Canadian Medical Protection Association (CMPA) membership in good standing
