Summary:

When needed, a continuing TTOC will be required to fill UFN positions. For medical UFNs, the expectation is that a continuing TTOC stays until the return of the teacher.

For UFNs created by a vacant position, the continuing TTOC stays until a teacher has been found for that position through the posting process.

In some cases, these UFN assignments will go beyond 19 days. Should that occur, it has no impact on one's continuing status.

At the end of the UFN, the teacher returns to filling daily dispatches and retains continuing status with the district.

This position is open to all teachers and TTOCs in the Abbotsford School District.

Teachers currently in a classroom position would start this new role at the end of their current contract or beginning of the 2023/24 school year, whichever comes first.


Education & Experience:

  • Completed University Degree Program
  • Teacher training and practicum
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports
