***: Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Labourer located at its Vancouver sugar refinery.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will perform routine packaging line assembly as well as clean and sanitize line work stations/areas.

Your strong work ethic and can-do attitude are enhanced by the flexibility to work three rotating shifts on a weekly basis.


RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment
  • Check and weigh materials and products
  • Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
  • Assist Machine Operators, Assemblers and other workers
  • Clean work areas and equipment
  • Perform other labouring and elemental activities
  • Operate powered pallet/straddle jacks

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


Fast paced environment; repetitive tasks for varying durations; handling heavy loads (25kgs); physically demanding at times; manual dexterity needed; attention to detail; hand-eye coordination; standing for extended periods; work can involve crouching, lifting, walking and turning with varying weights.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Grade 12 graduate or equivalent
  • Heavy industry; shift work.
  • Must speak and understand English

  • Above average pay currently starting at $23.05/hour reaching maximum pay after 4 years which is currently $32.93/hour
