Saskatchewan Patient Transfer Services (SPTS) is an industry leader, proudly serving the citizens of western Canada since June 2018.

Based in Regina & Saskatoon, operating 24/7 with no geographical boundaries and responding to over 5,000 calls for service annually, SPTS is a steady urban/rural mixed service.

SPTS utilizes a well-maintained, clean and modern fleet of Patient Transfer Units, providing bedside-to-bedside stretcher transportation services to non-acute patients in a professional, safe and respectful environment.


We pride ourselves on having strong brand and staff reputation, always providing patients with compassion and respect during transportation with a commitment to excellence.

SPTS is responsible for transferring patients safely between hospitals, to and from medical appointments, home from hospital etc.

If you meet the following criteria, you may qualify to join our team:

  • Minimum age of 18 with completion of High School
-
Valid Class 4 Driver's License _
(or ability to obtain a Class 4 Driver's License upon hiring)_

  • Driver's Abstract clear of uninsurable infractions _(loss of license, DUI, stunting, distracted driving, etc)_
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Physically fit with the ability to routinely lift 300+ pounds on a manual stretcher and/or stair chair up and down stairs with a partner (training provided inhouse for TLR and safe operation of a stretcher)
  • Annual Healthcare Provider CPR certification _(SPTS provides CPR training)_
  • Immunizations as per SHA standards (including Covid19 vaccination)
  • Ability to work rotating 12hour shifts _(days, nights and weekends)_ with paid oncall hours
  • Must have a positive, pleasant, approachable attitude while transporting and interacting with patients

Our hiring process consists of an interview, followed by a job shadow with SPTS staff. SPTS collects resumes on an ongoing basis. We routinely hire Patient Transfer Specialists per operational need.
