Responsible for the management, investment and market valuation of the University's short term financial investment reserves. Manages all domestic, foreign currency, debt management, capital projects and operating cash flows. Supports the establishment of and manages banking relationships. Manages the University's foreign currency requirements and execution of trading transactions. Manages all foreign exchange risks. Develops hedging strategy proposals and prepares conversion timing recommendations. Arranges for all University short-term borrowing requirements to be met, including managing bank line of credit. Participates in identifying long term capital financing requirements. Designs, develops and maintains operating and capital cash flow models and techniques. Assists with the development and evaluation of financial pro-formas and debt financing business cases.

Manages the University's investment portfolios through the development of investment strategies, evaluation of investment options, selection of investment managers, development and implementation of investment policies and procedures, to maximize risk-adjusted investment returns and to provide strong support to the annual endowment spend income allocation and operating budget.

Develops responsible investment goals implements responsible investing initiatives to ensure the University meets the carbon footprint reduction target and divestment commitment.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Finance, Business, Commerce, Economics or a related field.

Successful completion of the Certified Financial Analyst designation (CFA) or post-graduate business diploma in finance and investment is preferred and ten years of experience in investments and treasury management in large and complex environments, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
