What you will do


The focus of this position is to ensure that the inbound and outbound materials and resources flow through the company in a timely manner, while anticipating problems and developing plans of action.

This individual will need to be very organized and will utilize their knowledge of logistics while building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, clients, and other departments within the company.

A hands-on tactical approach is required, to ensure success.

How you will do it

  • Monitoring the flow of materials or resources to ensure on time delivery.
  • Helping organize interplant transfers of parts and materials via Silent-Aire internal couriers.
  • Generating shipping paperwork for submitting to appropriate parties (drivers, carrier dispatch, US Customs)
  • Troubleshooting any problems to ensure projects or process remain on schedule.
  • Must also work with Project Team members to develop a schedule for the delivery of products or resources.
  • Confirming that work process is continuing on schedule by monitoring communication and workflow between Production/Shipping/Logistics departments.
  • Working with contracted couriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers; manages timing of deliveries and packing schedules.
  • Managing workflow for manufactured product between plants and storage locations
  • Help develop and implement process improvement practices.
  • Ensuring that contracted couriers follow company policies and procedures when delivering products
  • Establishing strong working relationships with Internal and External customers.

What we look for

Required

  • High school education and at least 5 years work experience, or a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and 2+ years work experience.
  • Courses in project management and/or training in scheduling, leadership, and time management.
  • Good knowledge of transport industry and traffic.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written.
  • Ability to solve business challenges and develop good reasoning solutions.
  • Understanding of guidelines, direct response, and customer experience.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and mange materials.
  • Detailorientated project management and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
  • Strong team player, proactive, and enthusiastic about obtaining great business results through creative project execution.
