This is a 12-month mandate in Ghana - Tamale.**The mandate is under the _Equality in Action _Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 14 countries and 3 regions over a seven-year period


The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality.

Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights.

Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything we do.

Here's what your daily life will look like:
In close collaboration with Oxfam's in-country team members, your mandate will be to:

  • Support program teams and partners to co-create the VCP Yearly Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and to document Program's results to ensure relevant sustainable development goals are achieved.
  • Ensuring that MEAL systems, methods and tools are gender aware and allow strong gendered MEAL analysis in the PIP.
  • Train partners and staff on resultbased monitoring including remote monitoring during crisis.
  • In collaboration with the VCP team, coordinate the partner level activity implementation, development and submission of VCP reports to Country Office and Oxfam Quebec.
  • Participate in Country planning and strategy development as well as Program learning events with partners including Program Quality Review.

For this mandate you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in a relevant field;
  • Be fluent in English, spoken and written (required);
  • Have 3 years of relevant MEAL experience, particularly in gender and feminist project management approaches;
  • Be familiar remote monitoring systems and tools;
  • Master the Office suite.
